Fiddle Workshop

with Julian Taylor (Union Street Ceilidh Band)

We will be learning some less well known dance tunes and discovering how to use the bow to enhance the rhythmic emphasis. Tuition will be by ear but the notation will be available after the workshop. You might want to bring a recording device with you.

Concertina Workshop

with Steve Turner

My concertina song accompaniment workshop will cover all systems of concertina and the theory relates to most other instruments. I'll be giving advise about how to accompany songs and the type of songs to accompany, tips on singing, the type of concertina to choose for accompanying songs, a Q&A session and the opportunity for participants to demonstrate how they accompany songs.
